Fitting into the Old Gamcheon Culture Village
Walking along the Gamcheon Culture Village Tourist Information Center, you will see a small museum painted over a sky blue background. The mural on the museum's outer wall is "Gamcheon Arirang," created by Artist Jeon Mi-gyeong in 2012. It vividly depicts the representative scene of Gamcheon Culture Village, offering visitors a fresh visual experience with its detailed expression.
The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and does not charge an admission fee, allowing all visitors to freely enter and enjoy their time there. It narrates the village's history by showcasing old photographs and household items collected from residents, including rotary dial phones, a fulling block, and hand warmers. Towards the end of the exhibition, there's a display of an old house from Gamcheon Village in its actual size. Visitors find it fascinating for taking pictures and immersing themselves in the ambiance of the old Gamcheon Village.
