Looking at the heartbreaking scenery from Haneulmaru Overlook

To reach Gamcheon Village Haneulmaru Overlook, you will need to pass by a caf? operated by the village community. It is called “Gamcheon Cafe” which is painted a beautiful flower on the wall by Artist Na In-ju in 2012. It allows you to feel like you are walking along a flowery path on the way to the Haneulmaru Overlook.

Haneulmaru Overlook is the observatory that offers the best view of Gamcheon Culture Village. Standing from the rooftop of Haneulmaru Overlook building, you can see the vividly colorful scenery of the village unfolding at the end of the green floor. Not only the stunning view of the village, but you can also see the scenery of Cheonmasan Mountain, the coast of Busan and Yongdusan Observatory. As Gamcheon Culture Village is built on a mountain slope, you can definitely enjoy all of the magnificent view from Haneulmaru Overlook which is located at the peak. Looking down from Haneulmaru Overlook, you will first find out the maze-like streets of the village. If you look at them in details, you will soon find out that they are all connected to one another. It would be as if you have discovered a secret passageway of the village.

Haneulmaru Overlook has a seasonal timetable for its operation. It is from 9 AM to 5 PM between November and February and from 9 AM to 6 PM between March and October. Eating or drinking is prohibited in the building so make sure to finish eating them before you enter the village.
