At Jeonju Handicraft Exhibition Hall, you will be introduced to the thousand-year-old beautiful handicraft traditions of Jeonju. It is a multicultural complex, and you can buy some of the crafts.
The exhibition hall consists of a museum featuring the past, present, and future of Jeonju crafts, a specialized gallery, and an experience hall where tourists can make their own Korean traditional handmade paper crafts called hanji crafts. Also, visitors can make handicrafts using other kinds of materials such as textiles and wood. There is a Hanji exhibition room next to the craft room and you can learn about the types and uses of Hanji. While the main component of hanji is the bark of a mulberry tree, the method of manufacture and mix of materials produces up to 200 different kinds of Hanji.
In addition, outside the exhibition hall, old Korean living wares are displayed in the front yard. Here, you can enjoy Korean traditional games, such as Tuho (throwing sticks into a barrel) and Jegi kicking (Korean paper shuttlecock). It will be an exciting opportunity to experience some Korean traditional games.
