Datjip, the Canopy of Yakcheonsa Temple
As you may notice, there is a canopy-like roof over the seated Buddhas.
Actually, that is called a "datjip." Datjip is a house-shaped structure built over the seated Buddha, distinguishing Korean Buddha halls from those in Japan by aiming to give the Buddhas a more dignified look. This was also constructed to signify the continuation following the architectural tradition of Korean Buddhism.
