This place offers a stunning view of Seoul while enjoying a cup of tea and reading a book. It's said that this place wasn't always this romantic. It was originally built as a military facility to protect Cheong Wa Dae after the 1.21 Incident and served as a guard post on Inwangsan for over 50 years.
However, in 2020, its purpose changed. It became a book cafe where you can enjoy tea. Over time, things often change in their use. If the direction is towards a more peaceful one, that's all the better. From a stark guard post to a book cafe – isn't it truly wonderful? Since we've been walking for quite a while, how about taking a short break?
If you intend to continue your journey past the Guard Post Book Cafe, the next destination is a bit further along the Inwangsan slope path. You'll encounter a sign guiding you to Suseongdong Valley. Simply follow the left path, which indicates the direction of Suseongdong Valley, and make your way downhill.
I'll meet you again at Suseongdong Valley.
