As you follow Pirundae-ro 1-gil, you'll come across a refined modern Hanok on the right side within a small alley. It's the House of Hong Geonik, built in 1936.
The building is a large-scale modern Hanok comprising Daemunchae, Haengnangchae, Sarangchae, Anchae, and a Byeolchae, which even features Binggo, a traditional ice storage facility and a courtyard. It's a spacious Hanok that you don't come across every day.
This place is designated as a Seoul Folk Cultural Heritage, and anyone can take a break and relax here. If you've been walking for a while and feeling tired, how about stretching your legs and taking a moment to enjoy the ambiance of the Hanok?
The next destination is my alma mater, Paiwha Girls' School. Once you leave I Sang's House and head towards Inwangsan, you'll reach an intersection. From there, walk to the left and follow Pirundae-ro on your left side. You'll find ‘Pirundae-ro 1-gil’ leading to the main gate of Paiwha Girls' High School and Baewha Women's University.
Now, the next place that we will visit is the university tthe place we're heading to is a small Giwajip called ‘I Sang's House.'
Our next stop is Paihwa Girls' School where I attended.
