Night market with youthful energy


In 2011, the rooftop of an abandoned two-story building in the market was renovated into a place called “Real New Town” (Young Adult Mall) and has become a hub for the youngsters, attracting younger crowd to the market. The place holds different kinds of exhibitions, concerts, and flea market events and has contributed to create a more vibrant market and a new paradigm for the market culture.

At the Young Adult Mall, you can come across many unique handmade items.
“My postcard” area sells postcards with the pictures around Jeonju, and postcard is a great way to write down and keep memories of the time spent in Jeonju.

During Jeonju International Film Festival, there are many spaces where the visitors can experience a number of different events. In a variety show called, “I Live by Myself,” a singer named Kim Dong-wan enjoyed the night market with a French actress, Roxane Mesquida.

The night markets are held every Friday and Saturday. They feature fusion menus that are rare. At Pungnam gate near the entrance to the market, visitors can enjoy spectacular light shows using media-facade. While enjoying these various dishes and sights, make sure to participate in funny events held at the Young Adult Mall.
