Nightscapes of Korea takes you to places where the night shines even brighter. Today, we journey to Yongho Starlight Park in Busan, a place where starlight and serenity flow together.
Located in Nam-gu, Busan, Yongho Starlight Park is a community-friendly healing space where open coastal trails meet the city’s stunning night views. Once closed after a Russian vessel collided with the Gwangan Bridge, the area was temporarily opened to the public through cooperation between Nam-gu District and the Busan Port Authority, making it a special place to enjoy until the full redevelopment of the Yongho Pier begins.
Returning to the community after 30 years, Yongho Starlight Park has become a welcoming space where everyone can relax, combining beautiful scenery with engaging experiences. From its viewpoint, you can take in Busan’s iconic sights, including Haeundae and the Gwangan Bridge, all at once. Seasonal festivals and a variety of hands-on programs add to the excitement, giving every visitor something to look forward to.
As dusk settles in, Yongho Starlight Park, true to its name, comes alive. The glow of city lights blends with the gentle illumination along the walking paths, creating a beautiful nightscape. A once-abandoned management building has been remodeled into an exhibition and experience center. Here, visitors can enjoy a permanent exhibition hall, the media art program Starlight Sea Journey, and observation and rest areas, offering plenty of ways to explore and relax.
How about spending a romantic moment with someone special beneath the shining stars of Yongho Starlight Park? Here, where the night sky meets the night sea, unforgettable memories are waiting just for you.
