Some amazing stories begin with the visit of 3 fishing vessels to the Hangang(River).
A land with a large river and broad space in Seoul provides citizens with unique places to feel and enjoy nature in their tiresome city life.
Fishing vessels pave the way for creating a space with full diversity for citizens to take a rest.
I am Hee-Jun Sim, and I am an architect.
The first story, Blue Wind, starts from a story imagining something that is invisible but exist from a fishing vessel called Namhaeho.
The story tells a journey of Namhaeho, from ocean to land, a fishing vessel that was once used to catch fish and octopus the southern coast of Korea, and make people feel invisible breezes.
The ceiling visualizes wind and serves as a shade for people to feel the breeze when wind blows.
People may imagine water waves when they sit down or lie under the blue shade which waves when wind blows. There are pictures in the cabin of Namhaeho showing the stories of the vessel and relevant places. The fishing vessel becomes a place where people sit down under the blue shade, and share some trivial or incredible stories in their daily lives.
