Sea of Spring
What does the Hangang(River) mean for us?
What do you think or imagine when you visit the Hangang(River), looking at the river or appreciating small artworks in places around the river?
I am Su-Jeong Park, and I am an architect.
The third story starts from the name of a fishing vessel called Haechoonho. Haechoon means the spring of sea. Haechoonho tells us a story of rediscovering some lyric places around the Hangang(River). Haechoonho visits a small hill along the Hangang(River). The fishing vessel anchors here and serves as an excellent stage.
The storage of the vessel, which was once used to store fish, has now become a container to carry the lives of the earth and is now filled with cherry blossom.
We expect to have an amazing time while listening to stories amid beautiful cherry blossom petals and flowers being scattered on the stage of ‘Sea of Spring’. We are waiting for spring.
An unfamiliar material, fishing vessel, is used as a space to make our rest more abundant. And the process of making the space more meaningful remains an area to be completed by citizens. Through such a process, we hope to discover stories that have been invisible and expect to give rise to various questions and thoughts on the Hangang(River) through imagination.
