Xuanhe Fengshi Gaoli Tujing is a travel report written by Xu Jing, a Chinese envoy who was sent to Goryeo during the first year of the reign of King Injong of Goryeo for one month by Emperor Huizong of Song in 1123. This valuable record covers virtually every aspect of Goryeo society including its politics, society, culture, economy, military, arts, technology, clothes, customs, and so on. In particular, it contains detailed information about Goryeo celadon, including names, shapes, sizes, and usages, and describes the sophisticated shapes and beautiful jade color of celadon bottles and incense burners. It is considered an invaluable record as it contains a wealth of unique details about the features of Goryeo celadon at that time.
