Celadon Pitcher with Inlaid Reed Design
This celadon pitcher with inlaid reed design was made around the twelfth to thirteenth century. Its body is of a similar shape to that of a metal pitcher, while its spout takes the shape of dragon’s head and neck; and both sides of the body are inlaid with three reeds. While the top of the celadon exhibits elaborate features including an angular shoulder and a dragon-headed spout, the body is simply decorated, revealing the aesthetic sensibility of Goryeo people of that time.
