This corner of the museum is designed to display the lifestyle of Goryeo people. Among the representative craftworks of the Goryeo Dynasty, lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl is comparable to celadon in terms of its beauty and reputation. The combination of celadon with a lacquerware cabinet inlaid with mother-of-pearl creates a delicate harmony. If a white porcelain ware of the Joseon Dynasty was placed here instead of the celadon, the white color of the porcelain would not go well with the cabinet.
I believe this is how a culture is formed; arts associating with spirit and ideology of the time.
