Celadon Tea Service and Tea Table

On the lacquerware table inlaid with mother-of-pearl placed at the very end of the room, there are a number of craftworks associated with the tea culture of Goryeo. The people of Goryeo loved drinking tea very much. Small teacups were used when drinking green or red tea made by infusing tea leaves, while teacups with a wide mouth were used for drinking thick tea made by grinding clumps of tea leaves, such as Chinese puer tea, and mixing it with water in a teacup. It is interesting to learn about the tea culture of Goryeo people through the celadon teacup.
