You have just entered Hall No. 2 “National Crisis by Japanese Imperialism.” The materials in this exhibition hall range from the 1860s to the 1940s, a period in which the country opened its doors and underwent successive waves of change until its long history ground to a halt with the Japanese colonial rule. In this hall, you will have the opportunity to look at various scenes of Korean life during the colonial period and how Korea’s neighboring countries are still engaged in attempts to distort Korea’s history.
