Manuscript for Joseoneo Keunsajeon
This is the manuscript for the Joseoneo Keunsajeon (Comprehensive Korean Dictionary). The Korean Language Society made corrections and additions to the manuscript for 13 years, i.e. between 1929 and 1942 in which it was ordered to be closed. The 17-volume manuscript was confiscated by the Japanese police. In September 1945, one month after the country’s liberation, it was found in a storage space near Seoul Station. It was designated as a State-designated document in November 2008 for its historic value as the first unabridged Korean language dictionary.
